 After a string of five wins, Grandview Heights's good fortune finally ran out  on Saturday. They lost  12-1 to the Mt. Gilead Indians. Having soared to a lofty 15  runs in the game before, Grandview Heights couldn't push the score so high this time.
 For Mt. Gilead's part,  Anavey Jodrey made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out seven batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. Jodrey has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. Jodrey was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with four  RBI and a  double.
 In other batting news, Mt. Gilead let  Kierra Main and  Greer Simpson loose on the outfield. Main  scored a  run and  stole three bases while going 2-for-4, while  Simpson  scored three  runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Savannah Wilt, who  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Grandview Heights' defeat  ended  a  four-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 8-4. As for Mt. Gilead, their win bumped their record up to 4-11.
 The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Grandview Heights beat Mt. Gilead by a score of  15-5 later that day.
