Baseball Recap: Jesup Takes a Loss

Jesup was the 11-1 winner over Dike-New Hartford when they last played one another back in June of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The J-Hawks came up short against the Wolverines on Friday, falling 12-2.

Jesup has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Dike-New Hartford, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-2-1.

Jesup didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-4 defeat against Oelwein on the 30th. As for Dike-New Hartford, they have also already played their next matchup, an 11-1 victory against Columbus on the 30th.
