Basketball Game Preview: Norton Bluejays vs. Lyons Lions

The Norton Bluejays will take on the Lyons Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Norton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.2 points per game this season.

Last Friday, Norton came up short against Thomas More Prep-Marian and fell 56-46.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Tyler Backman, who posted ten points and six rebounds. Those ten points gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tyce Melvin, who on his way to 12 points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lyons, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They managed a 45-41 victory over Minneapolis on Monday.

Norton's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points over those games. As for Lyons, the win got them back to even at 10-10.
