Soccer Game Preview: Lake Stevens vs. Arlington

The Lake Stevens Vikings will head out to face off against the Arlington Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Stevens will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

On Friday, Lake Stevens made easy work of Jackson and carried off a 5-1 victory. The result was nothing new for Lake Stevens, who have now won five contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Arlington's game on Friday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They beat Cascade by a goal, winning 2-1.

Delfino Grimaldo and Brody Dalgaard scored both of Arlington's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Lake Stevens pushed their record up to 10-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those six matchups. As for Arlington, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-8-2.

Lake Stevens came out on top in a nail-biter against Arlington when the teams last played back in March, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
