The Northwood Rangers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their seventh straight loss. The New Year welcomed they with a 90-42 whooping from Maumee Valley Country Day. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Northwood in their matchups with Maumee Valley Country Day: they've now lost four in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Maumee Valley Country Day to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amani-Jordan Chandran-Dickerson, who scored 37 points along with seven rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Chandran-Dickerson has scored at least 25% of Maumee Valley Country Day's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Majors, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds.
Northwood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Maumee Valley Country Day, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
