The Hesston Swathers will head out to face off against the Smoky Valley Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hesston will be strutting in after a win while Smoky Valley will be coming in after a defeat.
On Friday, Hesston took their matchup with ease, bagging a 55-12 victory over Nickerson. The Swathers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 20 points or more this season.

Hesston's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Blayne Wilson, who rushed for 163 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 13 carries, and Jerick Humphreys, who threw for 218 yards and two TDs on perfect 11-for-11 passing. Those 163 rushing yards gave Wilson a new career-high. A healthy portion of Humphreys' aerial production (93 yards to be exact) went to Gavin Larson, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 13 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Wilson, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Smoky Valley lost 36-16 to Trinity Academy on Friday. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Hesston will have to contain Jack Opat as he made an impact in Smoky Valley's last game. He rushed for 126 yards and one score.
The win made it two in a row for Hesston and bumps their season record up to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points over those games. As for Smoky Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's game: Hesston has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 369.2 total yards per game. It's a different story for Smoky Valley, though, as they've been averaging only 247 total yards. Will Hesston be able to march up the field at their leisure again, or will the Vikings flip the script?
Everything came up roses for Hesston against Smoky Valley in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 48-6 win. In that matchup, the Swathers amassed a halftime lead of 48-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
