Softball Recap: Cedar Park Christian's Undefeated Season over After Seven Games

After flying high against Fife last Friday, Cedar Park Christian came back down to earth. The Eagles fell just short of the Shorewood Stormrays by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.

Shelby Southard put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 11 over 7.2 innings pitched. Southard was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and one double.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cedar Park Christian fell to 6-1. As for Shorewood, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

Cedar Park Christian has already played their next matchup, a 7-4 loss against Monroe on the 4th. As for Shorewood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 13-1 victory against Lynnwood on the 4th.
