Liberty North waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came out on top against the Bishop Miege Stags by a score of 57-44. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Stags, too.

Bishop Miege's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayla McClinton, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kirston Verhulst, who posted 16 points and six boards.

Liberty North has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.4 points per game. As for Bishop Miege, they moved to 6-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Liberty North will venture away from home to face off against Blue Springs at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. As for Bishop Miege, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-46 loss against Blue Valley North on the 31st.
