Basketball Recap: Urbana Comes Up Short

Urbana was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a blow against the Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs, falling 61-25. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 535th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 129th).

Urbana's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Mahomet-Seymour, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Urbana has already played their next match (against Charleston), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Mahomet-Seymour will welcome Mt. Zion at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
