North Rock Creek waltzed into their match on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Bethel Wildcats a 13-0 shutout. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

The team relied heavily on Hunter Bertram, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was his first of the season. Mavrick Wingo was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

North Rock Creek hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive contests.

North Rock Creek's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-4.

They will have a chance to go back-to-back against Bethel: the pair will be back at it again later today.
