Football Recap: Waldport Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Waldport played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 52-6 loss at the hands of the Glide Wildcats. The Irish were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-0.

Despite the loss, Waldport saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lucus Fortmeyer rushed for 60 yards and one score on only six carries.

Waldport's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Glide, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Waldport will take on Harrisburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Irish's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Glide, they will challenge Rogue River at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
