Baseball Recap: Highline Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Highline won the last time they faced Foster and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Pirates put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 12-2 win.

Anthony Cassarino and Josiah JoJo Barron did most of the damage at the plate: Cassarino went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Barron scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That stolen base was Cassarino's first of the season.

Highline's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6. As for Foster, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Highline will head out to face off against Lindbergh at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Foster, they will square off against Tyee at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs are facing the Titans at the right time seeing as the Titans are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
