Walden Grove secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Vaughn Sexton, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Another was Sebastian Gallardo, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases.

Walden Grove's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for El Paso, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
