Volleyball Game Preview: St. Charles North North Stars vs. St. Charles East Fighting Saints

The St. Charles North North Stars will venture away from home to challenge the St. Charles East Fighting Saints at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Charles North is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 15 games.

St. Charles North picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Belvidere.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, St. Charles East's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Wheaton North by a score of 2-1.

St. Charles East started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-21, 25-14.

St. Charles North will have to keep a close watch on Lexi Schrandt and Gianna Gjokaj, a pair of players who had a big impact on St. Charles East's prior game. Schrandt had nine digs and five assists, while Gjokaj had six digs and four assists.

St. Charles North's victory bumped their record up to 20-2. As for St. Charles East, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.
