Baseball Game Preview: Pen Argyl Green Knights vs. Moravian Academy Lions

The Pen Argyl Green Knights are taking a road trip to square off against the Moravian Academy Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Moravian Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Pen Argyl, who comes in off a win.

Pen Argyl took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Northern Lehigh a 3-0 shutout.

Not much got past Cayden Vishnesky, who gave up just two hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Northern Lehigh off the board.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Nick Haros, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and three runs. He also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Moravian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 15-5 to Wilson Area. One positive for the Lions, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Moravian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Pen Argyl, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3.

Pen Argyl might still be hurting after the 11-0 loss they got from Moravian Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2023. Can Pen Argyl avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
