The Neuse Christian Academy Lions will venture away from home to square off against the GRACE Christian Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
As a matter of fact, Neuse Christian Academy put up the most runs they have all season on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 20-1 margin over New Life Christian Academy.

Chloe Barham was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Barham was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
In other batting news, Abbi Hoover was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those RBI marked the first that she brought in this season. Leigha Norris was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Neuse Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .769. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but GRACE Christian ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Harrells Christian Academy 13-11. The win was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won three contests in a row.
The team relied heavily on Audrey Lester, who went 3-for-5 with four stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lydia Lester, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5.
GRACE Christian pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Neuse Christian Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7-1.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Neuse Christian Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .325. However, it's not like GRACE Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .419. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Neuse Christian Academy suffered a grim 19-4 defeat to GRACE Christian in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
