Livingston and Hilmar squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Livingston had to settle for second. They took a 14-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hilmar Yellowjackets. The match was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but the Wolves couldn't quite close it out.
Caden Bailey was his usual excellent self, rushing for 116 yards and two touchdowns for Hilmar. Backing up that air attack was Merek Ellerd, who rushed for 107 yards.
Livingston now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Hilmar, they moved to 5-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
