Baseball Recap: Cattaraugus-Little Valley Comes Up Short

Cattaraugus-Little Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Gowanda Panthers, falling 35-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 32-2 on Monday.

Cattaraugus-Little Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was D.J. Szata, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.

Cattaraugus-Little Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Gowanda, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Cattaraugus-Little Valley will face off against rival Ellicottville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Gowanda is set to square off against their familiar foe Randolph at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
