Baseball Recap: Gallatin County Hawks vs. Meridian Bobcats
Gallatin County came into Thursday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victor by a 16-2 margin over the Meridian Bobcats on Thursday. The Hawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bobcats, too.

Grant Jackson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Downen, who went 1-for-5 with one home run and four RBI.
The win got Gallatin County back to even at 1-1. As for Meridian, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
Coming up, Gallatin County will take on Carmi-White County at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Meridian, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Meridian Bobcats face off against Galatia/Thompsonville Bearcats at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
