Fans got a thrill when Jay Darish and Danny Wunderlich connected against Stoney Creek. The longest such play in Oakland - Red this season, the connection resulted in 79 yards.

Clarkston was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to third in the league. Earlier in the week, the Wolves triumphed over Rochester 34-13.

D.J. Zezula and Centrus Williams jR gave Clarkston a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Zezula threw for 193 yards and 3 touchdowns, while Williams jR ran for 46 yards. Cain Watlington also contributed to the rushing game with 35 yards on the ground.

Zezula and Williams jR gave Kurt Richardson's team a balanced attack through the air and ground last week.

Williams jR was the most successful running back in the league this week.

Wunderlich was the best wideout in Oakland - Red this week as Troy lost to the Cougars. Wunderlich racked up 3 receptions for 95 yards. Eric Papandrea helped Troy's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 88 yards.

Zezula put up the best numbers in passing as the Wolves topped the Falcons. Zezula's favorite target this week was Watlington, who caught 5 passes for 85 yards.

The Colts' Darish and Devin Alexander have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Darish has thrown for 822 yards this season, while Alexander has 15 catches for 165 yards. Athens's Brennan McHugh leads the league in rushing yards with 93.

The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Stoney Creek takes on second place Lake Orion.

The Red Hawks scaled the state rankings by moving to 301 from 331 this week, the biggest jump in the league. Athens was able to make move up by defeating Pontiac 23-12.
