Basketball Recap: Morro Bay Find Success

Morro Bay hadn't done well against Cabrillo recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Morro Bay Pirates pulled ahead with a 35-34 photo finish over the Cabrillo Conquistadores. That's two games straight that the Pirates have won by just one point.

The victory made it two in a row for Morro Bay and bumps their season record up to 3-14. As for Cabrillo, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Morro Bay will welcome Templeton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Morro Bay is facing Templeton at the right time seeing as Templeton is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Cabrillo, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Santa Ynez at 6:30 p.m. on January 24th.
