Volleyball Recap: East Mecklenburg Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

It was a Battle of the Birds when East Mecklenburg took on Rocky River on Tuesday. The Eagles blew past the Ravens 3-0. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant East Mecklenburg was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-12, 25-7.

Riley Ketterhagen was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had eight aces and five digs. That's the most aces she has posted since back in August. Janiah Conyers also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: East Mecklenburg was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 19 consecutive matches.

East Mecklenburg's record is now 17-7. As for Rocky River, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
