            Volleyball Recap: Murray County Indians vs. Coosa Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            Murray County was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They were a single  set away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Coosa Eagles. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won  2-1.
Murray County's offense was headlined by  Kenzi Fritts and  Elyssa Matchett, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from  Jordyn Farmer and her 12 assists.
 Coosa's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Whitley Sharpe, who  had five  kills, four  digs,  and two  aces. That's the most  kills  Sharpe has posted  over her last six  matches. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ruby Hamilton, who  had four  aces and three  digs.
Murray County's defeat dropped their record down to 11-20. As for Coosa, their win bumped their record up to 15-17.
 Looking ahead, Murray County will take on Ringgold at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Coosa, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dade County  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Wolverines will roll in looking for their  fourth straight  victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
