Basketball Recap: Ezekiel Academy Makes It Six in a Row at Home

Ezekiel Academy had won five straight home games dating back to last season and Gerard Johnson did his part to make it six on Friday. The Ezekiel Academy Knights walked away with a 53-45 win over Restoration Academy thanks in part to Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played.

Camden Rushing was another key player, putting up three points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds.

Restoration Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ian Fuller, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Jordan Anderson, who had nine points.

Ezekiel Academy is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.6 points per game. As for Restoration Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-8.
