Volleyball Recap: Brookfield Has No Trouble Against Orrick

Brookfield lost to Orrick back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Bearcats with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Brookfield walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-12, 25-20, 25-18.

Brookfield found their leader in freshman Kaylee VanWagoner, who had eight digs and eight assists.

Brookfield was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in three consecutive matchups.

Brookfield's victory bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Orrick, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18.

Looking ahead, Brookfield will square off against Lathrop at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Orrick, they will take on Wellington-Napoleon at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
