Softball Recap: Morton/White Pass Extends Winning Streak to Three

Morton/White Pass made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Eatonville, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Morton/White Pass Timberwolves were the clear victor by a 15-7 margin over the Eatonville Cruisers on Wednesday. 15 seems to be a good number for the Timberwolves as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Izzy Loucks was a standout: she scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Ryelin Wiedenmann, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Morton/White Pass always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .744. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eatonville only posted an OBP of .414.

The victory (which was Morton/White Pass' third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Eatonville, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Morton/White Pass will square off against Wahkiakum at 4:00 p.m. on March 26th. As for Eatonville, they will challenge Clover Park at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
