Basketball Recap: Stafford Takes a Loss

After flying high against North Stafford last Wednesday, Stafford came back down to earth. The Stafford Indians fell just short of the Massaponax Panthers by a score of 36-33 on Friday. The match marked the Indians' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Stafford's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Massaponax, the win got them back to even at 10-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stafford will take on Mountain View at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Mountain View will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Stafford surely won't give up without a fight. As for Massaponax, they will face off against Riverbend at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Riverbend is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.3 points per game this season.
