Softball Recap: Los Alamitos Extends Winning Streak to Five

With a playoff win on the line, Los Alamitos rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They blew past the La Serna Lancers 7-1. The result was nothing new for the Griffins, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

The win was the fifth in a row for Los Alamitos, bringing their record up to 19-12. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for La Serna, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-11.

Looking ahead, Los Alamitos will take on Santa Margarita at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Griffins' hitters will have their work cut out for them. La Serna does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
