Rosman hasn't had much luck against Draughn recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Rosman Tigers face off against Draughn Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. Rosman will be strutting in after a victory while Draughn will be coming in after a loss.
While Rosman's win against Robbinsville wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Rosman narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Robbinsville 10-9. The game was the first time the Tigers have beaten the Black Knights on their field since March 10, 2022.
Quintin Forbes and Bradley Queen made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Forbes tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Queen tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, Forbes gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in March of 2024. At bat, Forbes scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances, while Queen scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-5. Forbes has become a key player for Rosman: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 0-3 otherwise.

In other batting news, Max Henderson was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI.
Meanwhile, Draughn suffered their closest defeat since March 20, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of Ashe County by a score of 3-1.
Rosman's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4. As for Draughn, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Draughn's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Rosman has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .475. It's a different story for Draughn, though, as they've only averaged .325. Will they be able to contain Rosman's hitters?
Rosman might still be hurting after the 9-1 defeat they got from Draughn in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Rosman avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
