Recap: Mobridge-Pollock Tigers vs. Lakota Tech Tatanka
The Mobridge-Pollock Tigers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They strolled past Lakota Tech with points to spare, taking the game 49-35. This was payback for Mobridge-Pollock, who suffered a 70-45 loss the last time these two teams met.
Lakota Tech's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addisone Goings, who scored ten points along with three steals. Those ten points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Shania Ferguson, who scored 14 points.
Mobridge-Pollock's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Lakota Tech, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mobridge-Pollock will take on Miller at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lakota Tech, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chadron at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
