Baseball Recap: Concord Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Concord's offense. They fell 4-0 to the Maple Valley Lions on Tuesday. The game marked the first time this season in which the Yellowjackets were not able to get on the board.

Concord has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Maple Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Concord will host Union City at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Maple Valley, they will be playing at home against Sturgis at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
