Marco Castro Dazzles in Kankakee Valley Win
Thanks in part to Marco Castro, Kankakee Valley said goodbye to their five-game losing streak. Nobody could stop Castro on Friday as he rushed for 213 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.8 yards per carry, and also picked up 32 receiving yards. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 105 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Castro might have his next game, a home matchup with Munster, circled on his calendar. Castro rushed for 320 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per carry the last time he and the Mustangs duked it out back in October of 2023.

Willy Shearer Goes Supernova in Hobart Defeat
Hobart was sadly handed a loss on Friday, but Willy Shearer did his best to prevent it. Hammond Morton had no answer to Shearer as he rushed for 79 yards and three touchdowns. Hobart is 2-1 when Shearer posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise.
Hammond Morton had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Shearer it was a similar story. When Shearer last faced the Governors back in October of 2023, he rushed for 230 yards and five touchdowns.

Colton Scott Turns in Season-Best Effort
