Softball Recap: Amanda-Clearcreek Takes a Loss

If Amanda-Clearcreek was riding high fresh off their 20-8 takedown of Fairfield Union on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Aces fell 7-2 to the Logan Elm Braves on Monday. The Aces have struggled against the Braves recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Averie Hutchison was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.

Amanda-Clearcreek's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Logan Elm, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Amanda-Clearcreek will challenge Liberty Union at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something the Aces surely won't give up without a fight. As for Logan Elm, they will take on Bloom-Carroll at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Braves have won seven straight at home, while the Bulldogs won seven straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
