Basketball Game Preview: Bacon County Raiders vs. Pierce County Bears

Bacon County is 1-9 against Pierce County since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Bacon County Raiders will square off against the Pierce County Bears at 6:00 p.m. Pierce County took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Bacon County, who comes in off a win.

While Bacon County didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They strolled past Wheeler County with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 52-33.

Meanwhile, Pierce County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Jeff Davis, falling 49-25. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bears have suffered against the Yellowjackets since December 22, 2015.

Bacon County's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Pierce County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Everything came up roses for Bacon County against Pierce County when the teams last played back in November, as the team secured a 57-29 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bacon County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
