Dallas Christian extended their home winning streak to eight games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from River Kirkhuff. The Chargers blew past the Covenant Knights 45-7 on Thursday with plenty of help from Kirkhuff, who rushed for 90 yards and one score. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 55 yards.

Dallas Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Covenant, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Dallas Christian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 45-7 win against Covenant Christian on the 23rd. As for Covenant, they will welcome Bishop Gorman at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st.
