Softball Recap: Timpview Takes a Loss

After soaring to 12 runs the game before, Timpview was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They came up short against the Wasatch Wasps, falling 12-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Thunderbirds in their meetings with the Wasps: they've now lost nine in a row.

Nelly Gongora was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.

Timpview's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Wasatch, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-17.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Timpview is set to take on their familiar foe Cedar Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Wasatch will square off against rival Spanish Fork at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
