Thayer came out on top against Houston on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run third inning. The Bobcats blew past the Tigers 10-4. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Colton Mills, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Clark, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and two RBI.

Thayer has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Houston, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thayer will face off against Salem at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Houston, they will challenge Cabool at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
