Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Cherokee County walked away with it. They put the hurt on Wilson with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. The victory was familiar territory for Cherokee County, who have now won three contests in a row.

Ava Haygood paced Cherokee County's offense, picking up 17 kills. Haygood got some help from Macy Lea and her 34 assists. Ellisan Givens and Jolie Alexander kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Cherokee County's win bumped their record up to 45-8-1. As for Wilson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 34-14 record this season.

Cherokee County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Madison Academy on the 23rd. Wilson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
