Lafayette hasn't lost a match since November 17th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Thursday. They never let the Columbus Falcons get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. Lafayette might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by three goals or more this season.

Lafayette pushed their record up to 9-4-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those five matchups. As for Columbus, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Lafayette and Columbus will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Commodores see the pitch they'll take on Pontotoc at 6:45 p.m. on January 6, 2026. As for Columbus, their break will end when they face West Point at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
