Basketball Recap: Unity Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Unity Christian Academy lost against Terra Ceia Christian last Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Unity Christian Academy Warriors were outmatched by the Terra Ceia Christian Knights and fell 47-20. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-7.

Lena Timmons was Unity Christian Academy's leading scorer, having posted eight points.

Terra Ceia Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lily Meijer, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Lakin Van Essendelft, who posted 11 points and six assists.

Unity Christian Academy is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12. As for Terra Ceia Christian, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

Unity Christian Academy will challenge Ahoskie Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Terra Ceia Christian, they will take on Mount Calvary Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Mount Calvary Christian Academy will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Terra Ceia Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
