Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Laurel). They breezed past the Browning Indians to the tune of 50-0 on Thursday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Locomotives' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Montana football rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Indians are ranked 59th).
Laurel got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Curtis Fox out in front who rushed for 91 yards and a pair of scores on only seven carries. Fox has been hot recently, having also posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Isaiah Burt also helped with two TDs in total.
The victory (which was Laurel's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.0 points on average over those games. As for Browning, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-6.
