Fountain-Fort Carson waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Sand Creek Scorpions. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Fountain-Fort Carson never let Sand Creek on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-14.

Reyanna Somerville paced Fountain-Fort Carson's offense, picking up eight kills. Somerville got some help from Emeline Maualuga and her nine assists.

Fountain-Fort Carson's record now sits at 8-5. As for Sand Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-10.
