Recap: Cuyahoga Heights Red Wolves vs. Keystone Wildcats
It was a good run, but the Cuyahoga Heights Red Wolves unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 40-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Keystone. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Cuyahoga Heights has scored all season.
Keystone's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Helayna Houston, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds. Jessica Forthofer was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 11 rebounds.
Cuyahoga Heights' loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Keystone, they pushed their record up to 10-0 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
Cuyahoga Heights will take on Independence at 6:45 p.m. on January 5, 2024. As for Keystone, they will head out on the road to face off against Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Columbia knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matches -- so hopefully Keystone likes a good challenge.
