Softball Game Preview: Pine View Panthers vs. Crimson Cliffs Mustangs

For the second straight game, Pine View will face off against Crimson Cliffs. The Panthers will host the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pine View has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with seven straight losses, while Crimson Cliffs will come in with four straight wins.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Pine View and Crimson Cliffs, and Crimson Cliffs kept the tradition alive. The Panthers lost 12-2 to the Mustangs on Tuesday.

For Crimson Cliffs' part, they got a massive performance out of Ashlyn Wilding, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Paige Tuckfield was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Crimson Cliffs kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.1 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 9.2.

Pine View's defeat dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Crimson Cliffs, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8.
