Basketball Recap: Des Moines Takes a Loss

Des Moines and Springer squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Des Moines had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Springer Red Devils by a score of 66-64. The Demons have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Des Moines' defeat dropped their record down to 19-9. As for Springer, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.

Des Moines does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Springer, they will square off against Roy/Mosquero at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Roy/Mosquero will roll in looking for their 27th straight win, something Springer surely won't give up without a fight.
