Softball Recap: East Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for East's offense. They came up short against the Cardinal Mooney Cardinals on Thursday, falling 12-0. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, East's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

East's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Cardinal Mooney, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East will challenge Newton Falls at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Cardinal Mooney, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Steubenville at 5:00 p.m.
