Football Recap: Waco Lions vs. Rudder Rangers
Waco was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Rudder Rangers, falling 45-19. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rangers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2017.
Javyn Jessie was his usual excellent self, throwing for 136 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground for Rudder. Jessie has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played.
Waco's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Rudder, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-3 record.
As of now, neither Waco nor Rudder have any future games scheduled.
