Soccer Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Watsonville

After failing to score in their last matchup, Watsonville made sure to put some goals up on the board against Palma on Thursday. They had just enough and edged the Palma Chieftains out 4-3. The win was all the more spectacular given the Wildcatz's disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 672nd, while the Chieftains are ranked 295th).

The victory got Watsonville back to even at 2-2-5. As for Palma, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3-1.

Watsonville will take on Salinas at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Palma, they will challenge Rancho San Juan at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
