Basketball Game Preview: Pope Francis Prep Cardinals vs. Central Golden Eagles

Pope Francis Prep is 1-8 against Central since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Pope Francis Prep Cardinals will look to defend their home court against the Central Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Pope Francis Prep's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Last Monday, Pope Francis Prep took their contest with ease, bagging a 75-34 win over Springfield International Charter School. Fans of the Cardinals have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Meanwhile, Central fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Holyoke on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Purple Knights by a score of 77-74. The loss was the Golden Eagles' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Central fell to 4-1. As for Pope Francis Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.
