Recap: Fayetteville Lions vs. Brazos Christian Eagles
If the Fayetteville Lions were feeling good off their 41-16 takedown of the Prairie Lea Indians on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Fayetteville took a 43-28 bruising from Brazos Christian on Friday. While losing is never fun, Fayetteville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 906th, while Brazos Christian is ranked 290th).
When it comes to explaining why Fayetteville lost, one person who can't be blamed is Rylie Dyer. Despite the final result, she scored 11 points.
Fayetteville now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Brazos Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
Fayetteville has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Flatonia at 12:00 p.m. on December 2nd. Brazos Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Prairie Lea at 9:00 a.m. on December 2nd. Prairie Lea comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
